On 13-14 November and within the framework of the DDF Togo Action on Labour Migration, ICMPD is organising the validation session of the Togolese Labour Migration Strategy and Action Plan at the Hotel La Concorde in Lomé, Togo alongside the Ministry of Public Administration, Labour and Administrative Modernisation.
This activity brings together the Interministerial Committee mandated to deliberate on the issues related to the adoption process of the Strategy and Action Plan, composed by the Ministry of Labour, the Ministry of Development Planning and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as other relevant MDAs, Civil Society Organisations, Social Partners and International Organisations.
This activity marks the key step within the DDF Togo Action on Labour Migration, allowing for the development process related to this Strategy document to be finalized and fully owned by the Togolese Government in the run-up to its implementation. Moreover, the validation is supported by the Demand-Driven Facility (DDF) of the EU and ECOWAS funded project, “Support to Free Movement of Persons and Migration in West Africa” (FMM West Africa).
This DDF Action stems from a request for technical assistance submitted by the Ministry of Labour and is fully aligned with the Togolese Government’s development guidelines and priorities contained in the Accelerated Growth and Employment Promotion Strategy (SCAPE 2013-2017),
